The electronic journal Sapientia Iuris. The Roman and Canon law. The history of law  is devoted to the Roman law, the Roman and Byzantine law, the Canon law, as well as the history of the Polish and the generally applicable law. The comprehensive scope of the substance-related formula of the journal allows to justly assume that the circle of authors interested in publishing will be broad. With regard to all enumerated fields, we publish at Sapientia Iuris (…) website various scholarly papers (i.e. articles, studies, translation of source texts, review articles, reviews stricto sensu and reports) related to the Roman law, the Canon law and the history of law.

We hereby express our hope that the authors will be willing to undertake academic comparative studies, while the legal and contrastive nature of discussed issues will also be linked to the contemporary Polish, European and the World law. Thus, we publish academic papers pertaining to – broadly understood –comparative law studies.

Perspective-wise, we would like the journal Sapientia Iuris. The Roman and Canon law. The history of law  to develop not only as an interdisciplinary journal, but also as an international journal, and the content included on the journal’s website to remain in line with the ‘wisdom’ implied in its title.
